OneDrive Integration
Connect your Microsoft OneDrive account to MigrateClouds and transfer files seamlessly.
Prerequisites
Before connecting OneDrive to MigrateClouds, ensure you have:
- A Microsoft account with OneDrive access
- Sufficient permissions to access and modify files in your OneDrive
- A MigrateClouds account (sign up at migrateclouds.com if you don't have one)
OneDrive for Business vs. Personal
Connecting OneDrive
Follow these steps to connect your OneDrive account to MigrateClouds:
1. Navigate to Connected Services
Log in to your MigrateClouds account and go to the Dashboard. Click on "Connected Services" in the sidebar.
2. Add OneDrive
Click on the "Connect a Cloud Service" button and select "OneDrive" from the list of available services.
3. Microsoft Authentication
You'll be redirected to Microsoft's authentication page. Sign in with your Microsoft account credentials.
4. Grant Permissions
Review the permissions requested by MigrateClouds and click "Accept" to grant access to your OneDrive files.
Important
5. Verification
After granting permissions, you'll be redirected back to MigrateClouds. The system will verify the connection and display your OneDrive in the list of connected services.
Pro Tip
If you're using OneDrive for Business, you might need to consult with your IT administrator to ensure you have the necessary permissions to connect third-party applications.
Using OneDrive with MigrateClouds
Once connected, you can use OneDrive as either a source or destination for your file transfers:
Browsing OneDrive Files
In the File Explorer, select OneDrive from the dropdown menu to browse your files and folders. You can:
- Navigate through folders
- Preview files (for supported file types)
- Select multiple files for transfer
- Create new folders
Transferring Files to OneDrive
To transfer files to OneDrive from another cloud service:
- Select your source cloud service and navigate to the files you want to transfer
- Select the files or folders
- Choose OneDrive as the destination
- Select the destination folder in OneDrive
- Click "Start Transfer"
Transferring Files from OneDrive
To transfer files from OneDrive to another cloud service:
- Select OneDrive as your source
- Navigate to and select the files you want to transfer
- Choose your destination cloud service
- Select the destination folder
- Click "Start Transfer"

MigrateClouds supports several OneDrive-specific features:
SharePoint Integration
If you're using OneDrive for Business, you can also access SharePoint libraries through the OneDrive connection.
Version History
MigrateClouds can preserve version history when transferring between OneDrive and supported cloud services.
Shared Files
You can transfer files that have been shared with you, provided you have sufficient permissions.
Limitations
- Files larger than 250GB cannot be transferred (OneDrive limitation)
- Some special characters in filenames may be replaced during transfer
- Certain file permissions and sharing settings may not transfer between different cloud services
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your OneDrive connection:
Connection Issues
If MigrateClouds can't connect to your OneDrive:
- Verify your Microsoft account credentials
- Check your internet connection
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting the service
- Ensure you haven't revoked MigrateClouds' access in your Microsoft account settings
Transfer Errors
If you experience errors during file transfers:
- Check if you have sufficient storage space in the destination
- Verify that you have the necessary permissions for the files
- Check for filename conflicts or unsupported characters
- For large transfers, try breaking them into smaller batches
